I love to read quotes about anything but especially teaching. There is no doubt in my mind that teaching is one of the most important callings a person can have. There are only a few who are meant to teach. It is a challenging job that seems to never end, as your students seldom leave your thoughts. I am thankful I have found the special thing that keeps me going. I love chidren and love to see them learn. What more could I ask for? I just wanted to put out some simple quotes for teachers, in case there are more people like me who just need to read someone else's thoughts every once in awhile.

"I'm a teacher. A teacher is someone who leads. There is no magic here, I do not walk on water. I do not part the sea. I just love children." (Marva Collins)

"You teach a little by what you say. You teach the most by what you are." (Dr. Henrietta Mears)

"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not." (Author Unknown)

"Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence." (Robert Frost)

"Challenges make you discover things about yourself that you never really knew. They're what make the instrument stretch- what make you go beyond the norm." (Tyson)

"I touch the future. I teach." (Christa McAuliffe)

"If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere" - anonymous

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called "truth." ~Dan Rather

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. ~Henry Brooks Adams

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. ~William Arthur Ward

The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book. ~Author Unknown

The secret of teaching is to appear to have known all your life what you just learned this morning. ~Author Unknown

Don't try to fix the students, fix ourselves first. The good teacher makes the poor student good and the good student superior. When our students fail, we, as teachers, too, have failed. ~Marva Collins

Miss.
